Post draught

I didn’t intend on going a week in between posts.  Life just got busy.  I left Tuesday morning to go to Mom and Dad’s.  I got back home Saturday afternoon.  Sunday we had church in the morning and Warren’s 3 month picutres in the afternoon/evening.  I have declared today a jammy day.  Laura needs to have a nice quiet day at home.

The time at Mom’s was really nice.  Jonah’s birthday party was Thursday night.  Laura and Warren both did exceptionally well.  Laura didn’t sleep as well as I would have liked.  She was up every morning at 6:30.  The last night we were there she woke up when I went to bed and at 4:45 when Warren started fussing (again).  On the drive home, Warren did not ride well at all.  We had to stop 70 miles up the road to take care of him.  He was completely melting down.  Once he was settled, we got back on the road to stop only 30 minutes later.  UGH!  He was fine if the car was stopped.  He didn’t need a diaper change and wasn’t hungry.  He didn’t even care if he didn’t get outof his car seat.  I decided that we just had to power through then and drive some more.  As soon as we started again, he totally melted down.  I was 4 miles from the Osseo exit where I was planning on stopping for a while to give him a break and hope for a good drive the rest of the way.  It was then that he took his Nuk and blankie and slept.  I wasn’t going to stop for anything then!  He slept until the Hammond exit, but then cried the rest of the way home.

Our original plan was to head over to Appleton this weekend to visit Liz and Corey.  However, with how Warren has been riding we are not going to go.  I think it would also be nice to just have a quiet weekend at home.  So I’ll have to call them tonight to let them know we aren’t coming.

Today has been a bit stressful.  I clipped Warren’s fingernails and toenails (they were really needing it).  I then tried to clip Laura’s nails.  They are long and sharp.  She threw a HUGE fit while I did it.  Of course her fit scared Warren so he was crying hard at the same time.  I tried to bribe her with the promise of polish on her nails after we were done, but that didn’t make any difference.  I don’t know what her deal was.  She didn’t eat much for lunch.  I saved it and will try again after nap. The silly girl wanted to wear her shoes to bed.  Who was I to argue?

I am tired enough today my thoughts aren’t exactly coherent.  I can’t seem to focus much, so I’ll end this.
