Happy Weekend!

This weekend was great. I was in Stillwater doing my prestudent teaching on Friday. When I got home, John was here! He got home from Iraq on the 22nd of March, and into Madison on the 31st. He decided to come up to River Falls and see me for the weekend. We went grocery shopping Friday night since I had no food in the apartment. When we got to the checkout, he paid for all my food. I didn’t take him with so he could buy it all for me. I do greatly appreciate it though. Saturday I worked from 9-1 at Papa Murphy’s. When I got home, I showered quick, then ran to Woodbury with John and Robert. They seemed to get along fairly well. We stopped at Circuit City and CompUSA. I only got a digital video cassette for taping my lessons. John and Robert each bought some CDs and other things. The final performance for Dance Theatre this year was Saturday night. I had tickets reserved, but I gave them up. John wanted to see Lord of the Rings: Return of the King in theaters. The Oakdale theater was still showing it, so we went. We finally got to Robert’s about midnight (had to stop in RF to get John’s car). I had to leave for work at 8:30 Sunday morning (day light savings started, so I lost an hour of my short night). I woke John up before I left so I could give him a hug and say goodbye. Work wasn’t too bad. We got all the premakes done before noon. We were also dead all day. Caitlin sent me home at 2, which was nice. I spent the rest of Sunday afternoon and night with Robert. It was nice to get some quiet, quality time together. We even went for a bike ride around Hammond in the beautiful weather.

Last night sucked though. I have been coming down with a cold, so I took some sudafed before bed. The meds wore off at 3, so I was wide awake from 3-4, trying to breathe. I was in and out of bed constantly. I was hoping that I didn’t bother Robert too much, which I don’t think I did. Today I was in Stillwater again, but lacking in energy. I tried to stay active, but still conserve energy, if that makes any sense. On the way home, Amanda, Mandy, Mara, and I stopped at Nelson’s Ice Cream Shop. The best ice cream I have ever had! The servings are huge and cost very little. Anyone who is interested, I can either go with you or give you directions.

I was hoping to get some homework done tonight, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. I did clean my room up a little bit though. I can see my desk! Tomorrow is a fairly easy day. I am hoping to convince Virgil to let me make copies of the CDs that are lost or broken a lot and are hard to find good copies of to be the original. Meaning, make one nice master copy and keep it in the back. But we’ll see. This week is going to go fast. Wednesday night I am going up to Dallas with Robert to celebrate some birthdays. I have 2 finals on Friday (Social Studies and Language Arts for Block I). I work 3-8 on Saturday. Sunday I am hoping to go to church with Robert, then head up to Dallas for Easter dinner. But that’s my life in a nutshell. Oh yeah, and we have subleasers for the apartment this summer. 40 days until I am offically living with Robert! But who’s counting? Write more later.
