I’ve been quieter on here than I’ve wanted. Life has been full of frustrations and business. Let’s see what has all transpired from my last post. The concert Friday night was awesome! It was so good to get away without the kids. I am hoping that we can do a date night once a month now that we have found a sitter (assuming that she will return). Saturday we went to get our Christmas tree. It was more work than we had thought. I ended up carrying Warren in his car seat and helping Laura walk on the uneven ground while Robert dragged the tree to the front of the farm to pay. During naptime I went to find a Christmas outfit for Warren. Stores didn’t have much selection for his size. We put the tree up Saturday night but didn’t decorate. Sunday morning we went to Michelle’s for pictures. Sunday evening after naps we decorated the tree.
Yesterday we took the car into the shop since the brakes were making some very bad sounding noises. It turns out there was nothing actually wrong and most likely a rock got kicked up. So I ended up following Robert to the shop, taking him to work and then coming back home. I didn’t take any diapers or bottles with and of course Warren started fussing on our way to River Falls. Thankfully he settled down and fell asleep on the way home.
I won’t go into all the frustrations. Just seems like things keep piling up. I’m really trying to stay positive. I am wanting to get into the holiday spirit, but it just doesn’t seem to be coming to me. I would like to get Christmas shopping done soon. I think the current plan is to do it on Monday. Friday I was supposed to do cookies/candies with Mandy during the day. However, now I have an appointment at 10:15 to get the flu vaccine. Not sure how cookies/candy will work out at this point.
Some of my frustrations have stemmed from keeping the house clean. I feel like at times it is completely up to me to keep the house clean. Robert tries so hard to help, but it isn’t always enough.
Time to chill before Warren wakes up from his nap. Laura just went down for hers.
