A Hard Lesson to Learn

I’ve always known that life isn’t fair, but I’ve learned that lesson once again tonight. John called to let me know he received his call. He will be going to Ohio on Friday, Fort Knox on Monday. He isn’t sure where he will be stationed yet. I had a feeling that this birthday would not be good, and now I understand why. But I’m exhausted and heading to bed soon.
