I am so glad this week is over. We ended up staying home all day. We were going to go visit a friend, but she sent me a message that she wasn’t feeling well. I thought our back up plan would have been to go to coffee with some girls from church, but it turns out there was no coffee today. :( So instead I put on an episode of Sesame Street for Laura to watch. Lunch was super fancy… grilled cheesee and tomato soup. Laura went down for her nap without protesting too much. I was even able to get in a nice 2 hour nap. Warren woke me up and was wanting to eat. After naptime the day started heading downhill. Warren was just being a bit fussy and wanting to be held and cuddled. Laura wanted cuddles and would cry very easily. At one point she wanted cuddles so I had her on my lap. She chose to get down and then started crying because she got down. Robert got home and I pretty much threw one of the kids at him. Supper was in the crock pot almost ready. I needed to throw in a few things for the last few minutes of cooking, then we could eat. I am really trying to have dinner ready early enough that Laura can eat with us. It also makes the rest of the evening go better since we aren’t dealing with eating and putting the kids to bed at the same time. I enjoy having baths done and Laura in bed around 7:30, but if we have a late dinner it really gets in the way. After Laura went to bed, Robert and I got the kitchen cleaned up again and worked on getting Warren to sleep. Warren is currently laying on Robert’s lap crying. Hopefully we’ll get him settled and in bed soon. I know both of us are ready for an early night.
Plans for the weekend include Meghan’s baby shower tomorrow and church on Sunday. I’m not entirely sure what else we will be doing. The weather is starting to get cooler, and I’m actually happy about it. I am wanting soups and some “cool” weather foods. Time to take Warren.
