We had a good day. Laura only took an hour and a half nap, but she was in a fairly decent mood. I made the mistake of telling her before nap that we’d be going to coffee after nap. That set her up for excitement. She started off with “I want coffee!” over and over after I shut the door. Then it switched to “I want mommy”. I couldn’t take it so I went in and cuddled her. She continued the “I want mommy” until she fell asleep. She woke up at 1:30 asking to go to coffee.
Robert and I had a jaw dropping moment yesterday. Lately Laura has been helping unload the dishwasher. She will hand us plates or glasses. She also will hand us a glass to put in the cupboard. Well, yesterday she took a strainer out of the dishwasher. We both just watched her carry to put it away. Amazingly, she opened the cupboard door where it goes and even stacked it how it was supposed to be stacked. We were both floored and coudn’t believe what we saw. She also put away kitchen gadgets/utensils where they belong. I’ll keep this habit up!
I did finally get my maternity clothes out of my dresser and closet. They are all folded up in a Rubbermaid tote. I am going to see if a friend has an interest in buying them (they are working on starting a family). If she doesn’t, then I will donate them. I have a bunch of other stuff I would like to get to Goodwill before the end of the year anyways. I still can’t see the top of my dresser, but maybe I can work on that tomorrow. I feel good with how much I have done so far. I am hoping that Laura will let me do work on it. I may put Warren to bed in his crib so I can work in the bedroom and not worry about waking him up. I also need to start packing. Hopefully we won’t forget clothes for the kids this time. 
We leave for Mom’s on Wednesday (not sure what time yet) and will return on Sunday.
I am happy to report that we are very close to having a regular babysitter for the kids. She is the neice of one of Robert’s co-workers. She is 14 and very responsible. She will also be checking on the cats for us while we are gone. The first job is December 4 when we have our Bryan Adams concert. I was hesitant at first to have someone so young watch my babies, but after meeting her I am much more comfortable. I am actually excited to get a regular. I feel like Robert and I can do dates a little more easily. When she stopped by tonight to go over cat duty, Laura actually asked her to pick her up! 
I think they will do just fine.
Time to get to bed. Tomorrow could be a long day. Warren went to bed at 6:30 tonight, so who knows if/when he’ll wake up in the middle of the night.
