This past week, Robert saw on Facebook that one of his high school classmates was most likely living out one of his worst nightmares. He has a daughter the same age as Laura. She was at daycare and fell off a slide. She was flown to Region’s. She ended up passing away last night around 8pm. Even though Warren didn’t sleep real well and Laura is being a bit crazy today, I am thankful that they are here to do so. It is unfortunate that these events happen, but it does remind you how precious life is.
Ever since we got home from DeForest, Warren’s sleep has gotten progressively worse. Last night he was down around 9:30. I was foolish and stayed up til 11. He started fussing around 3. We ended up giving him the pacifier 3 times within a half hour. If the last time wasn’t going to work, i would have gotten up and fed him. Thankfully, he did sleep until 4:20. At that point we decided it would just be better to get up and feed him. It took until 6 for us to go back to sleep. Thankfully Laura let us sleep until 8 this morning. I still feel like my brain connections are running on molases though, and there is cotton in between. I am really hoping for a good nap.
Warren’s baptism is next Sunday. I still don’t have an outfit for him yet. I’m hoping that John’s baptism outfit will fit, but I haven’t tried it on Warren yet. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll go to Once Upon a Child or the second hand store in River Falls to find something. I refuse to spend $50 on a baptism outfit that he will wear only one time. After church, we’re going to go out to eat. At this point I am leaning towards The Parkview restaurant in Hammond. They have a good selection and are kid friendly. I think the people coming are Jess and Travis (godparents), my parents, and Robert’s parents. I haven’t heard if any of Robert’s siblings will be there or not. I should let the restaurant know this week that we’re coming and see if we can bring our own cake.
I finally made phone calls yesterday to figure out what is going on with insurance and stuff from when Warren was born. The insurance company had written us a check to pay for the epidural, but we had never received a bill from the hospital for it. After 3 different calls, I finally figured out what I need to do with it. I am hoping to get it taken care of Monday. We’ll see how the kids are doing though. Right now is open enrollment for health insurance at work for Robert. We are looking into switching. The new plan would reimburse us for a health club membership as long we we go a minimum number of times each month (I think it is 6 or so). Robert and I would both be interested in taking advantage of that. Plus, the new one gives us more option for providers/specialists in the Cities. I still have to do a little more comparing and research before we make our final decision, which is due the end of next week.
Well, I’m baking the cookies I mixed up last night. I better tend to them. Robert will be back soon from taking garbage and recycles to the dump.

O my I am so sorry for Roberts friend. Did she fall on her head and break her neck? That kind of stuff scares me a lot. I hope you find a nice outfit for Warren and you find a health plan that works for you guys. Sorry Warren has not been sleeping well that is so hard.
