Lots of baking this weekend. I was in the mood for a pie, so I made a cherry pie. I was even geeky and used the extra crust that was trimmed off to make the Pi symbol on top. I couldn’t find the camera to take a picture of it though. I also made monster cookies. I now have 280 cookies for the freezer with 8 left for us to eat. Hopefully they will last us a while. I tried a new recipe for supper. Baked Potato Soup. It turned out great. I could get all of it. Robert didn’t seem as impressed with it as I was. I love my thick, creamy (and slightly cheesy) soups though.
This week is pretty quiet yet. I have my usual appointments on Tuesday. Thursday I work in the morning and then have an evening with my friends. It won’t go too late since one of them has to work Friday morning. We are also heading over to Appleton on Friday to visit Liz and Corey. We haven’t been that direction for a while. I need to remember her Pampered Chef stuff. So that is my week so far. Not much else going on. Tomorrow will be a day to attack the kitchen again. With all the baking and cooking, it has gotten messy (and Robert cleaned it up just this morning!).
I am thinking it’s time to head to bed soon. This cold is taking its toll on me.

I’ve been thinking I should try out some recipes lately, plus I haven’t cooked up the pumpkins either. It’s just hard to imagine how to do cookies when there are 2 needies around. I could do it if there was just one of them… Oh well. I need to get more eggs anyway first.

I would think it would be fairly easy with Alice since she would just hang out and watch. Luna would want to “help” mommy. I was able to do it because Robert took Laura for me.

Unfortunately, Alice tends o cry when not being held and she’s getting heavy enough that it gets hard on my body. Luna likes helping and with stirring I don’t mind. But cookies are usually for the mixer and then the cookie sheet part I don’t want her participating in. I told my mom that one day when they are with my grandma, they should do gingerbread. Cookie cutters are just not going to happen at our house. I must be a mean mom.

Ah, so Alice wants to be a part of all the action. I wouldn’t say you are a mean mommy. You are just a mommy that doesn’t want all the mess. Cookie cutters are a good grandma or great grandma activity.
