It is official that I did not get the first grade teaching position I applied for. Oh well, such is life. I did end up working 5 days last week and I am already booked for half of this coming week. I still don’t know where I am going to work this summer. If I could get a day off, I would go around, applying and see who is hiring. Right now I don’t want to give up sub jobs to go job hunting. I figure I’ll have plenty of time for that once school is out. To me it isn’t a HUGE deal if I don’t have a job the first week school is out.
In other news, I am doing something good. I am finally getting the cancer support group started at church. I am not limiting it to just memebers of church, but that is what the group consists of so far. Hopefully ( and yet not, since it wish there wouldn’t be a need for this group), the group will grow. Sometimes it is best to start small.
This weekend I haven’t done as much as I would like. I was hoping to get the entire house cleaned and do laundry. However, with temps in the 90s, and no A/C, I haven’t moved much. Hopefully I’ll force myself to do some tomorrow or tonight once it cools off a little. If I don’t do at least a little laundry, I won’t have anything to wear for work this week. :-/
Not much else is happening. Robert and I put a storm door on the front door so we now have more air moving. He has built his workbench, well, most of it. Not sure what is on the agenda for tomorrow. We’ll have to wait and see what happens. Time to chill off a little more.
