I’m up early on a morning that I could have just slept in/through, so I figure I’ll do a short update. I am currently waiting to hear about a job possibility. It is a 6th grade language arts teacher for the rest of the year, starting Dec. 5. I submitted my app the 18th. Hopefully I’ll be hearing somemthing early next week. This week, even though I only worked 2 days, was a long one. Tuesday I taught 4th grade. It was an unexpected absence, so there weren’t lots of detailed lesson plans left. I figured things out the best I could. Yesterday was in first grade. This I knew I would be doing, so he left me nice plans to go off of. He has a very challenging class. To be more accurate, he has about 6 (mostly boys) that are very difficult. The rest of the kids seem nice. They get overlooked because the others are getting all the attention. Today we are heading up to Dallas for the Rust Thanksgiving. Should be an enjoyable day. Last night rjrbytes came home from work and went straight to bed. He slept for 1 1/2 while I did cleaning that desperately needed to be done. Once he was up, he laid on the couch for another hour or so. I was worried about him because the house was warm and he was shivering and couldn’t get warm. Once he had some soup, he started to do better. I hope he gets lots of sleep last night/this morning. I would hate for him to be sick on Thanksgiving.
Tomorrow we are going to start painting the living room. It has to be done before we get a tree or in January. I would rather it get done now, so that will be our weekend project. Robert mentioned in a comment about wanting to do a geek date with dittrich, but he hasn’t really mentioned it to me yet. (Just another one of Robert’s quirks I have to deal with.) If he does want to go, I’ll probably tell him to go, and I’ll finish the painting. Monday Robert has the day of so we are going to attempt to get lots of Christmas shopping done. I enjoy giving the gifts, but I don’t neccessarily like buying them. It’s not spending the money I don’t like. It’s the trying to figure out certain people who don’t give me ideas of what they would like.
Well, I’m going to bury my nose in a book until Robert comes to life. Have a fun and safe Thanksgiving everyone! Don’t eat too much! (yeah right)
