Since Robert seems to be posting more, I should too. Today was okay, but I was hoping that it would have gone better. We slept in a bit, which was very nice. We went to the post office around 10:30 to get me a key for the box, but the window closed at 10:15. Grr. We’ll just have to leave work early some day this week to get it. Kathy (Robert’s mom) called to this morning to let us know there would not be a family reunion, nor would we need to go up there next weekend since they are going to Door County. So after eating a lunch of leftovers, Robert and I headed to Har Mar mall. He wanted to go to Barnes & Noble to get a FreeBSD book. After a bit he did find one he wanted. Unfortunately, my knee started to hurt while we were there. After B&N, we decided to hit Maplewood Mall on the way home since I had a DVD there I wanted to buy. I haven’t seen it anywhere except at Suncoast in Maplewood. We walked around a bit, and I bought Center Stage and Sabrina (staring Harrison Ford, Greg Kinear, and Julia Orman). Robert bought The American President per my request, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider. My knee was really bothering me and my tummy was not entirely happy with me. So I decided to get a bite to eat at Cinnabon and a glass of water. I have gotten smart and keep drugs with me at all times. I took some and my knee was feeling a little bit better later on. I just wish my knee hadn’t started bothering me at all. I started to get a little grumpy and wasn’t exactly pleasant to be with. Robert was looking forward to a nice afternoon together. *sigh*
Tonight we made BLT sandwiches and watched the movie Clue. It’s fun entertainment. I haven’t tried yet, but I think it could be fun to watch while either drunk or buzzed. It stars Christopher Lloyed and Tim Curry and other big names.
I discovered that my car is sick, yet again. This time my brakes are acting up (they are soft sometimes, but other times are fine) and my muffler needs to be replaced. I’m not looking forward to that. I don’t know if I will be able to fulfill my dream of not having to work while student teaching. If my car keeps acting up, I know that I will have to find something. Maybe I can take out a loan with my parents. I don’t know. Time will tell.
Tomorrow should be a fun day. Church at 8am, meeting beldurnik and czar_sonja for breakfast. Sonja wants to do some shopping in downtown Stillwater (I haven’t explored there at all yet) and I am supposed to go for a bike ride with Rich. Hopefully it won’t rain on us. I’ve never been on a motorcycle, so I’m excited.
I would think after being away from home for nearly 4 years now, I wouldn’t get homesick like I do. Right now I just want to go home and spend the weekend with my family. But I have to wait until the 13th. I am doing Relay for Life Friday night into Saturday. I probably won’t be there all night. I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing Saturday. Sunday I figure we’ll leave 1ish so we can be back here at a decent time. But it’s time for me to start getting ready for bed. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Write more later.
