This has been a fun weekend, until about 11:00 last night. Liz and I went to Robert’s at 11:00 in the morning. The three of us went shopping trying to find Robert some flowers and plants for his yard. We got back to his house about 2:00. While he mowed the lawn and chatted with his sister, I sat upstairs and worked on my portfolio. If you really want, you can see it here: My Website. Liz and I went outside to rake about 5:30ish. My back is still hurting from that. Liz and I went in to make tacos around 7:30. The three of us sat and watched TV until 10:30, then Liz and I left. When we got to the room, there was a message on the answering machine from Vanessa. She left it at 3:30 that afternoon asking if I could work for her tonight. She expected me to call her back and let her know. I decided not to call her back and see if she would either call me again or show up to work. This morning I called Misty at home and let her know what was going on. I told her that I would work tonight if she needed me, but I would rather not. She found Lucas to come in from 5-8, and then I would come in 7:30-close to do dishes and help clean. I was fine with doing that. She and I are very unhappy with how Vanessa handled this whole situation. We both agree that she should have told work back home that she couldn’t work on Sunday because she had a previous commitment. Unfortunately, I have to work with her tomorrow night. It is going to take a lot not to blow up at her at work. I highly doubt she will be in French. It seems like she isn’t going to many of her classes. However, that’s not my problem, and I’m not going to help her out in French. I know she is on campus, but not going. I have a hard time giving someone my notes if I know they are here, but not in class.
This morning I really should have gone to church, but I decided that it is more important to get enough sleep. Otherwise I would have been dead tired all day. I got up about 10:15. I finished up my PowerPoint presentation for Multicult. I’ll end up changing parts of it until I present, but it’s mostly done. I would be fine to give the presentation tomorrow if need be. I even have Jess and my math PowerPoint presentation finished. The only thing I have yet to do is read my chapter for Exceptional Child (which I’ll work on after I finish writing), and we are getting a grammar exercise in French tomorrow. It should be a pretty easy week.
