Ok, when I bought my car I knew it wouldn’t be cheap. However, I am really tired of paying for car repairs and having it break down on me. Today my front left tire went flat on me as I was driving back from observing. Luckily, I had Liz’s cell phone so I could call someone. The only problem is I couldn’t think of who to call. I don’t know mechanics in the Twin Cities area. The only one I could think of that was close enough to be able to do anything was Robert. I was able to get a hold of him, and he was a saint. He left work to come and help me out. About 10 minutes after I called him, a very nice gentleman helped me out. I do know how to change a tire. My problem was that I was in dress clothes, including heels, and I couldn’t get the spare out. It was bolted down, and I just couldn’t get the right grip on it with the wrench. When Robert arrived, the spare was already on. The guy who helped me told me about a tire place up the street and recommended that I go there. Robert and I drove there and they took care of me right away. The problem was a leaky valve. They replaced it for me for free. I was very relieved to find that was the only problem. However, while the tire was being changed, they guy noticed the tire was worn on the outside so he said my alignment might be off. Not a cheap thing to get repaired. Anyway, Robert followed me back to make sure everything was ok, which it was. I was only about 15 minutes late to work tonight. When I got there, they needed help downstairs in Freddy’s so I volunteered to go down. I would be working with Misty and Amanda so it wouldn’t be too bad. Working down there tonight actually kinda lowered my stress level somehow. I don’t have it quite figured out, but hey, whatever works. I didn’t do anything productive tonight after work. Jess and I were going to work on our math project, but I really didn’t feel like it. Plus, we get the entire hour tomorrow morning to do it. I’m not worried about it. I’ll be observing again on tomorrow, Friday, and all day Monday. Then all my hours will be completed. I am really looking forward to Spring Break this year. It will be my first one without a doctor’s appointment or any testing in three years! I’ll be here doing homework, but that’s better than being poked, prodded, and scanned. I’m really hoping that Zoe works better tomorrow and she doesn’t have any more issues. I can’t afford too many more. I am seriously looking into getting a cell phone now. I just don’t feel comfortable driving long distances (even to St. Paul right now) without one. I’m taking Liz’s phone with me now, but I won’t be able to always have it. Well, I’m up later than I wanted to be. I’m going to head to bed now. I think I’m starting to beat this cold, and I don’t want it to come back and hit me. Paula is coming up this weekend to visit, and I would like to feel good. Write more later.
