I posted last week about trying to get Laura to sleep better. With the aid of my mother, I have found out what works for us. It turns out that this little girl is like her mom and dad in that she likes to sleep on her tummy. I know that all the rules say that babies shoul be put on their backs to sleep, my baby doesn’t sleep well on her back. I figure my parents were told to put me on my stomach to sleep and I turned out just fine (no comments from the peanut gallery!). So our sleep patterns are getting better. She is even sleeping longer stretches at night, which is worth A LOT!
We were in DeForest this weekend for my brother’s wedding. It was gorgeous. I don’t think things could have gone better. Laura was great. I was amazed at how well she handled everything. She was passed around quite a bit. Plus it was warm outside at the wedding. She got fussy at times, but overall she was great. We have some great pictures that I made sure were taken this weekend. I have 4 generations in the pics. I even have 4 generations of couples (great-grandparents to Laura, grandparents, parents, and her). I can’t wait to get them posted online and printed out. I’ll make sure to send copies to my grandparents.
Time to get the little girl to eat.

I hope she is sleeping better for you. I remember at that age Lizzie was up pretty much every two or three hrs to eat at night. I remember it well… 9pm…12am…3am…6am…9am….. It does get better! I saw the pictures she is a cutie! Glad to hear she is growing well!

She is finally sleeping better. I totally wore her out yesterday, and she didn’t get much for good naps. So she crashed at 8:00, and next thing I knew it was 1:30 and she was wanting to eat. I just wish she would do those stretches regularly. I know they will come soon enough. It is too bad we don’t live closer.

yeah my boys would NOT sleep on their backs no matter how hard i tried… they were belly babies, too lol… but it all worked out in the end

Just wanted to check that you or Robert are okay. Just thought I would check you never know.. I know your close to the cities. Its crazy what happened.

We are both fine. We had thought about going to the Cities last night. I’m glad we didn’t. We wouldn’t have been on that road, but still. I need to write another update. Maybe I’ll get to that this afternoon.
