July

Well, I’ve been a married woman for one year now. This morning we went to the 8:00 service at church. Afterwards, we came home, ate a little breakfast, then took a nap. I got up around 1:30, and played on the computer for a while and made lunch. At 3, it was time to get ready for our date. Robert took me to The Creamery. It was great! We are already planning our second anniversary there. If everything works out, it would be nice to get a room for a night too. But that is 365 days away yet. Plenty of time to plan.

I am learning that I am stronger than I thought. I have been surviving this heat wave without A/C fairly well. Friday I escaped to an air conditioned place. Saturday afternoon Robert and I went into work for a couple of hours. Other than that, we have been home for most of it. The hardest part is sleeping when the house doesn’t cool down much. We find out this week how much it will cost to put a/c in.

I still don’t have a job lined up for next year yet. It looks like it’ll be subbing again. I shouldn’t be surprised or depressed by this fact. Before I graduated, I was told that it takes an average of 5 years to get a full time teaching position in the area. So the way I figure, 1 down, 4 to go. It has to happen at some point in time. I just have to be patient and keep my eyes and ears open.

This week I should:
call to get on sub lists
call about a job app I submitted
clean the house
return a phone call about subbing
get books from a friend, read, and return

Well, time to pay attention to the hubby. It is still our anniversary. :)
