We took the kids to see Santa tonight. I had Robert stay in line with Warren while I took Laura in to see him from a distance. I figured she might do better if she can see him from a distance before I ask her to sit on his lap. When it was our turn, Warren went to Santa first. Laura didn’t hesitate too much and went right over to Santa. 
She sat down and cuddled up to him. When our turn was over, she cried that we had to leave! My jaw just hit the floor. The photographer said she hadn’t yet seen a kid cry to leave Santa. Thankfully the candy cane seemed to appease her a bit.
She was in a good mood as was Warren when we left, so we drove around to look at lights for a bit. Anytime we went a stretch without lights, she would ask for more lights. On the way back home, there aren’t many lights. She also figured out that we were heading home. She didn’t think much of this and started to cry. I told her we could look at lights again another night.
I am really enjoying Christmas this year with her. She is getting into Christmas and the fun stuff. I haven’t put out the nativity scene yet. I think she’ll enjoy seeing the pretty figurines.
