I feel like such a bad mommy right now. I didn’t think about what I was eating, and had some goulash. However, it is made with salsa juice (lots of garlic, jalapeños, tomatoes, etc). My poor baby’s tummy can’t handle it. She won’t eat more than just a few sucks from me before she gives up and cries. I am hoping I get fresh milk in tonight to replace the “icky” stuff. I am just glad that I got a pump tonight so I could get rid of the “icky” stuff quickly. Now I just need to wait for her to get hungry.
Otherwise things are going great for us. We got home from the hospital yesterday. Thankfully my mom is here to help us out (cooking, cleaning, rocking baby, etc.). She is the most perfect baby in the world. We do have to go into the doctor’s office tomorrow to have some lab work done. When we were discharged, her blood counts were good, but it seems like she is developing jaundice. I hope it isn’t too bad and we can just keep nursing until it is out of her system. I think everyone who reads this has seen the baby page. We’ll hopefully be able to add a few more pictures soon. Life is a little hectic though. I should get to bed fairly soon and try to sleep as much as possible.

Don’t feel like a bad mommy! Now you know no goulash! Once it took me 2 days to figure out why Lizzie would only drink a little from her bottle and then cry and push it away. She did not like the nipple and I had to get a different one. I felt horrible. I’m glad to hear your getting settled in. Yes sleep as much as you can! Your a great mommy!!!

Don’t worry about jaundice. Luna started out ok, got yellower during our time at the hospital, then went back normal. Just go sit outside with her (in the shade) and she’ll be fine. And make sure you take extra vitamins.
