Going Crazy

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted. This past weekend was fun. I worked Friday night, which went ok. Misty and I had fun. :) Friday night I don’t remember exactly what I did. I know that Liz and I enjoyed ourselves though. Saturday morning she and I had planned on sleeping in. We even hung blankets up to block the sun so there would be nothing to wake us up. I just love my body clock though. I was wide awake at 7:20. Grrr. Oh well. I just got on the computer and had some fun. Liz and I had plans to go to the Science Museum in Minneapolis with Robert. We went to The Great Barrier Reef omnifilm. It was really cool. :) After the museum, we picked up Rich and Sonja to go to Pizza Luce. It was fun. I got to know Rich and Sonja a little bit better. Unfortunately, my eye started to really bother me while we were at the museum. I don’t know what I did to it, but I would have times where I couldn’t see at all. I just closed my eyes hoping the pain would go away soon. Anyways, Saturday night Liz and Robert were going to go out a little bit drinking, but we got back too late. Plus neither one of them was totally in the mood. Instead, we just sat around and watched Trading Spaces. Not very exciting, but it was still fun. Liz and I just crashed at Robert’s Saturday night then. We slept in the spare bedroom upstairs.

Sunday morning was a blast. My body clock again woke me up at 7:30. DANG IT!!! Liz was up also, so she and I went downstairs. We sat on the couch and read the paper and watched M*A*S*H*. We both love the show, but can’t watch it on campus so we watch it when we can. Robert slept until about 9:00. Once he finally got up, Liz and I had some fun. I don’t remember how it started exactly, but one thing lead to another and pretty soon we were tickle torturing each other. At times it was Liz^2 against Robert, other times Liz and Robert ganged up against Liz (both ways). This went on for about an hour and a half. Finally we had enough and decided to start on the day. We had waffles at 11 for breakfast. Robert wanted to deliver a couch to Joshua so we helped with that. Unfortunately, we got it there, but it didn’t fit. Liz and I stopped in Johnson to get some shorts and stuff for the afternoon. Robert met us back at his place. We had grilled hamburgers for lunch along with some salads and veggies. It was very yummy. Thank you Robert! Once lunch was cleaned up, Robert read the paper and then took a nap while Liz and I played a few games of Rummikub. I actually won 3 out of 4 games! That’s *really* good for me. Around 6ish, we went outside to do some yard work. Liz and I raked and bagged while Robert pruned the rose bushes. That took us until 7ish. We quit once it hit dusk. We went back inside to watch more Trading Spaces and ate Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Yum! Liz and I finally left poor Robert alone at 10 Sunday night. I know he enjoyed the company, but I have to wonder if he didn’t get tired of us. Oh well.

Yesterday wasn’t such a good day for me. Math felt like a total waste of time to me. We learned how to make a line graph, and dot graph, and a bar graph. We didn’t learn any techniques on how to teach them at all, we just learned how to make them. BORING! I didn’t have French because we are doing mock interviews with her all week. Multicult was multicult. That class gets harder and harder to go to every day. Work Monday night wasn’t great either. I was really hot since it hit 93 degrees and wore jeans all day. At work I had to wear jeans and worked the grill. I don’t handle heat real well as it is. After we closed, I did the dishes again. I had my hands in really hot water for about an hour doing the dishes. Of course neither Vanessa or Shakeila helped put much of the dishes away. Shakeila put a few away, but I did about 90% of them myself. That really ticked me off. I let Vanessa mop the floor. I just felt like I did a majority of the closing stuff that night. When I got off work, Liz and I were going to go to Hudson to get my pics from Wal Mart. Part way down Main Street, my check engine light came on. I pulled into a parking lot and turned off the car. I waited a little bit and hoped that would take care of it, but it didn’t. Liz and I turned around and returned to Johnson. When we got back, I asked Liz about the weekend and how she felt. I was actually hoping that she would say she was ok with Robert and I dating, but she isn’t there yet. She is comfortable with the three of us, but not the idea of him and I dating yet. Just a little more waiting I guess. There really isn’t much else I can do. I will admit that did disappoint me a lot though.

Today went a lot better. I was up early so I could do my reading for Exceptional Child. I went to Reading Guidance for Children at 9:30. We discussed poetry the entire time. Our homework was to pick out a poem and write a one page paper on how we would incorporate it into our curriculum. I have yet to start that. I have the poem picked out, but that’s it. Exceptional Child was fairly interesting. We started our chapter on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). At least I’m learning a lot in that class. This afternoon I called Jerry’s to see if they could look at my car. The earliest I could get in is Friday. I’m hoping they can get it fixed so I don’t have to worry about rides for the weekend. It wouldn’t be such an issue if I was going home on Friday and coming back Sunday. However, I have the two appointments to worry about. I have alternative plans worked out though. Tonight I went to the Dance Theatre banquet tonight with Liz and Robert. Well, I supposed I should do my math homework before it’s due tomorrow. I’ll write more later.
